Grand River Station is part of a mixed use development to be located along 3rd Street in downtown La Crosse between the cross streets of Jay and King. The development will include a transit center, retail, rental apartments, condominium homes and parking deck.
The 72 rental apartments will target artists and entrepreneurs. The design will include live/work space and amenities catering to these markets, such as a business center, artists’ workspace, and an art gallery. Additional amenities include a theater, fitness room and a green roof with “tot lot” and patio area.
Grand River Station will be a mixed income community. Fifty-nine of the 72 rental apartments will be affordable for residents earning 30%, 50% and 60% of the County Median Income for La Crosse County. Thirteen apartments will be available to all incomes. In addition, this development will include 15 for-sale condominiums.
The 10,000 square foot transit center on the ground level will serve as a hub for public transportation in downtown La Crosse. The retail included on this level, along with the convenience of the transit center, will enhance the already rich amenity package for the Grand River Station’s residents.
